Have there been educational programs you wanted to attend but couldn't because of scheduling conflicts or travel restraints? We understand your time is valuable, and the MHA Center for Education is pleased to offer Webinars for hospital staff.

What is a Webinar?
A Webinar is a live, interactive presentation using the Internet and telephone conference lines. Participants download handout materials from the Internet and view the presenter's program on the computer screen as they listen to the presentation over the telephone connection. Participants can ask questions over the phone or the Internet during the presentations, which typically last one to two hours.

How much does a Webinar cost?
Most Webinars usually cost $295; however, there are some exceptions. Webinars are very cost-effective solutions because hospitals may sign several people to participate in a Webinar, and they only pay one fee for the entire group.

Webinars Available Through careLearning
Hospital staff can participate in Webinars and educational programs from careLearning, an Internet-based education management solution.
The sole purpose of careLearning is to develop and deliver a range of just-in-time training and education for health care providers and provide the ability to manage and track employee, physician and nonemployee records. MCE Webinars
The MHA Center for Education also hosts Webinars on various health topics. Individuals interested in the following Webinars should contact MHA staff before the registration deadline. Once registrations are received, MHA staff will e-mail course access information to registrants before the program.

Managing The Joint Commission’s Standards for Environment of Care® Webinar Series

This series will familiarize participants with The Joint Commission’s Environment of Care® Standards for 2008 and beyond, as well as explain how to efficiently integrate the new standards into your existing program. The series will include the significant body of changes found in the Emergency Management section of the 2008 standards and will review The Joint Commission’s “Tracer Methodology” process and how facilities will need to account for it in their survey preparations.
