Health care is one of the nation’s most highly regulated industries, and the Missouri Hospital Association serves as the political voice for Missouri’s hospitals, health systems and their employees. MHA seeks to educate legislative leaders about the health care system through its advocacy program which includes professional lobbyists, an extensive grassroots network and its political action committees.

The 2007 PAC fundraising campaign has concluded. Contributions from member hospitals totaled more than $90,000 for HEALTHPAC (MHA’s state-registered PAC used to contribute to state candidates) and more than $31,000 to AHAPAC (the American Hospital Association’s PAC for contributing to federal candidates).
