| Purpose |
This program will assist health care providers, public health and first responders with basic awareness training that will be useful for potential disaster and terrorist-related situations. The training is designed as a beginner course to familiarize participants with the medical issues surrounding weapons of mass destruction.

Bradley Strecker, BSN, M.A., CCRN, ACHE, a critical care nurse for more than 26 years, has experience working as a field paramedic and in emergency services, adult/neonatal intensive care units and hospital administration. A disaster preparedness consultant for MHA, Strecker works with Missouri’s nine emergency preparedness planning regions.
Bradley Rees, LPN, EMT, has more than 26 years of nursing experience and currently works as an emergency department and neonatal care nurse. He previously was a deputy sheriff and has conducted in-service training for law enforcement officers and firefighters throughout the state. Rees also is a disaster preparedness consultant for MHA. |

FREE training programs provided by MHA through grant funding through the HRSA Bioterrorism Preparedness Program, Missouri Cooperative Agreement CFDA 93.889.
You must register online to participate.
The sessions include program materials, continental breakfast and lunch. Registration must be received five days before the day of the program. Class size is
limited, and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. A confirmation will be e-mailed
guaranteeing registration. |
| Cancellation Policy |
| Please contact the MHA Center for Education at
573/893-3700 if you are unable to attend the program for which you have registered so others may attend. Substitutions are encouraged. |
| Continuing Education |
Registered Nurses — This program is approved for 7.75 contact hours in nursing. The Missouri Hospital Association is approved as a provider for continuing education in nursing by the Missouri Nurses Association, which is accredited as an approver of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
All Other Participants — A certificate for 8 clock hours of attendance will be provided to each person who attends this program in its entirety. |
