CARRON TO SERVE AS PRESIDENT OF MHA SOUTHEAST DISTRICT COUNCIL

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Patrick E. Carron, MHA, FACHE, president and chief executive officer of Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville, Mo., was elected to a one-year term as president of the Missouri Hospital Association Southeast District Council. His term began Jan. 1.

As district council president, Carron’s responsibilities include presiding over council meetings and guiding discussions on association policies and activities. One of six MHA district council presidents, Carron will direct input from council members on national, state and regional health care policies to the MHA Board of Trustees. District council presidents also select recipients of MHA’s Excellence in Governance awards and the Visionary Leadership Award.

“We are pleased to have someone with Patrick’s experience assume this important leadership role,” said Marc D. Smith, MHA president.

Carron received his bachelor’s degree in nursing from Saint Louis University and his master’s degree in health care administration from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

The Missouri Hospital Association is a not-for-profit association in Jefferson City that represents 151 Missouri hospitals. In addition to representation and advocacy on behalf of its membership, the association offers continuing education programs on current health care topics and seeks to educate the public, as well as legislative representatives, about health care issues.
