As a member of the MHA Board of Trustees, Bjelich’s responsibilities include overseeing the administration of MHA and developing association policies.
Before joining Saint Francis Healthcare System, Bjelich served as president and chief executive officer of Saint Francis Hospital & Healthcare Services in Wilmington, Del., and executive director of Wyoming Valley Health Care System in Kingston, Penn. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in Bloomington and his master’s degree in health administration from Indiana University in Indianapolis. Bjelich is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and an advanced member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Bjelich serves as a board member of the Missouri Center for Patient Safety and is a member of MHA’s Legislative Advisory Council. In 2005, he served as president of MHA’s Southeast District Council.
The Missouri Hospital Association is a not-for-profit association in Jefferson City that represents 151 Missouri hospitals. In addition to representation and advocacy on behalf of its membership, the association offers continuing education programs on current health care topics and seeks to educate the public, as well as legislative representatives, about health care issues.
