to The Health Alliance of MidAmerica Office
In February 1999,
the Missouri Hospital Association and the Kansas Hospital
Association formed an integrated limited liability company
called The Health Alliance of MidAmerica. The Alliance enables
health care-related organizations to strengthen efforts in
the areas of policy development and federal representation
and advocacy. In March 2000, the Midwest Transplant Network
in Kansas City and Mid-America Transplant Services in St.
Louis became affiliates of The Health Alliance of MidAmerica.
The Missouri
Hospital Association (Jefferson City, Missouri) is a not-for-profit
membership association, that represents hospitals and health
systems in Missouri. In addition to representation and advocacy
on behalf of its membership, the association offers continuing
education programs on current health care topics and seek
to educate the public, as well as legislative representatives,
about health care issues.
The Kansas
Hospital Association (Topeka, Kansas) is a Kansas association
of health related organizations cooperating to improve health
in the state through community-based health and hospital services,
KHA's mission is to provide leadership in the delivery of
health and human services.
Mid-America
Transplant Services is a community based not-for-profit
organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of human life.
MTS coordinates the procurement of vital organs, tissues and
eyes in hospitals throughout eastern and southern Missouri,
southern Illinois and eastern Arkansas.
The Midwest
Transplant Network provides quality transplantation-related
services that maximize the availability of organs and tissues
to the communities throughout Kansas and the western two-thirds
of Missouri.
Vision: An
environment in which health care organizations fulfill their
missions.
Mission: To
deliver superior service and value to affiliated health associations
and their members.
Values: The
values of The Alliance are founded on the principles of leadership,
communication and member involvement.

The new offices of The Health Alliance
of MidAmerica are located near the intersection of Metcalf
Avenue and College Boulevard (just south of I-435 and Metcalf)
in Overland Park, Kansas. From I-435, you can take either
the Metcalf or the Nall exit.
Metcalf Exit
Travel south on Metcalf to College Boulevard (second light).
Turn east (left) on to College Blvd. At the next light, turn
south (right) on Glenwood. Travel past the Van Eyck Building
to 112th Street. Turn right on 112th into the office complex.
At the small sign "del Sarto" sign, turn into the building
area, go up the ramp and use this parking lot (which is at
the rear of the building). Suite 150 will be on your immediate
right as you enter the building.
Nall Exit
Travel south on Nall to College Boulevard (third light). Turn
west (right) on to College Boulevard. Travel approximately
.7 mile to Glenwood. At the light, turn south (left) on Glenwood.
Travel past the Van Eyck Building to 112th Street. Turn right
on 112th into the office complex. At the small sign "del Sarto"
sign, turn into the building area, go up the ramp and use
this parking lot (which is at the rear of the building). Suite
150 will be on your immediate right as you enter the building.
