The MHA Center for Education recently awarded nearly half a million dollars in grants to 35 nursing students. MCE’s Nursing Bridge Grant program is designed to encourage licensed practical or registered nurses to pursue advanced degrees that are necessary for teaching in Missouri’s nursing schools.

Dedicated and competent nurse preceptors are vital to the success of our health care organizations and to the retention of nurses in the nursing profession. Our mission is to take a proactive approach in the education and support of nurse preceptors. The Missouri Nurse Preceptor Academy is a training program for hospital registered nurses serving as preceptors to newly hired nurses. The MHA Center for Education is hosting 34 academies throughout Missouri in 2008.
